Beijing to add 100k Square Meters of Green Roofs

The Biejing government has announced plans to install roughly 100,000 square meters of green roofs in order to clean the city’s air, reduce carbon dioxide, and cool down the rapidly expanding urban environment.

Green Roofs in BeijingIn addition to the green roofs, Beijing is adding a large amount of forests around the city and along major roadways.  This is all an effort to reduce the city’s heavy pollution, and is based on the tremendous progress made in Canada in recent years.
