Green Roofs could help save California Residents $211mil per year

According to a new study entitled “Looking Up: How Green Roofs and Cool Roofs Can Reduce Energy Use, Address Climate Change, and Protect Water Resources in Southern California”, installing green and cool roofs on 50% of existing roof surfaces in Southern California, it could save residents up to $211 million in energy costs each year and reduce stormwater runoff by 36 billion gallons.
