Rochester Installs Green Roof on City Hall

The City of Rochester just installed a green roof on it’s City Hall building in an effort to reduce storm water runoff.  Using grant money awarded by the Department of Environmental Conservation, they covered the 8,700 square feet of roof with various types of sedum.  They also plan to pave an adjacent parking lot with permeable pavement in order to maximize their storm water retention.
